Santa fun and March of Dimes fundraising…it all happens “in the Alley”

December 28, 2011

Santa and friends "in the alley!"

On any given evening or weekend, you will find a group of friends and neighbors “hanging out in the alley” behind our houses. It has become our fun play area with all of the kids and gathering place for the grownups. We have lots of cookouts, ride bikes, practice our soccer kicks, and spend time together. This year, we did something a little extra special: we held a holiday alley party and raised $1,000 for March of Dimes!

I did a write-up in the Daniel Island News about the fun – even Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by, straight from the North Pole!  During the evening, our elves collected $500 for the March of Dimes. Then the entire amount was matched by the amazing group team at Atlantic Shield Insurance Group, bringing our total donation to $1,000!

Thank you so much to my neighbors and Atlantic Shield Insurance Group for making this holiday season extra special. This is just one of many upcoming March of Dimes fundraising efforts of mine over the coming year, so stay tuned!
